You Me And Woody Woodpecker! [Fitness Redefined Part3 of 3]

fitness redefined

Recap
In part 1, I pointed out the problem with the fad workouts, quick fixes and boot camps. In part 2, I talked about the defining factors that must be considered when looking into personal fitness. Now we are going to discuss how we get there in the real world.

First things first

First of all, you need to know up front that we do not practice the boot camp inspired method of tearing you down by towering over you and cracking a proverbial whip. That just tears you down!

Just like Woody Woodpecker
All of our trainers start by getting to know you and what your goals are. Then they start chipping away at any existing objections and building you up; not tearing you down. Just like Woody the Wood Pecker relentlessly goes after trees. We use persistence and consistency throughout each session to build you up! We have found that words of encouragement week after week plants the seeds that when cultivated spring up in our clients and encourage motivation, nutritional and lifestyle changes, and even allow us to eventually addressing psychological inhibitions. This is Fitness done right!

It Is All about You [Fitness Redefined Part 2 of 3]

Fitness

Simply put, fitness/exercise is a science, but it IS NOT an exact science. It must be adapted, changed and related to each and every individual who partakes in any level of exercise. Various factors must be taken into account:

  • Age
  • Weight
  • Height
  • Sex
  • Body type
  • Current level of fitness
  • Fitness goals
  • Limiting factors like:
    • Pre-existing or non-addressed injuries
    • Physiological struggles
    • Current nutrition
    • Environment
    • And more the list goes on...and on

It seems so simple at first glance, but there are many facets to this simple concept called fitness. This is why my philosophy of planting seeds is so effective. It takes small steps to achieve long lasting change. It is your fitness that is at stake so the way you achieve your goals need to be customized specifically to fit your needs.

Magic Pills And Quick Fixes Are Such B.S. [Fitness Redefined: Part 1 of 3]

Fitness

Fitness is NOT black & white
Lately I’ve noticed just how many people perceive fitness to be black and white (And by fitness what I'm referring to is the action of becoming physically fit, looking or feeling a certain way). What I mean by this is how many businesses, people, and organizations are taking advantage of the typical American mind set of looking for the next “magic pill”, the “quick fix”, the “easy answer”, the "my way or the highway ideology." Let's be very honest here these methods are all B.S.!
