Many of you have likely seen Kinesio Tape while watching any number of athletic or sporting events, yet were completely unaware what the colorful complexes of tape (available in blue, black, pink, white & beige) are that were applied to the athletes. I’m excited to announce that I recently received my CKTT Certification (Certified Kinesion Taping Technician) and that it is NOT just for athletes. Anyone can benefit from the therapeutic effects of Kinesio Tape, and the best part is it helps to mitigate pain while aiding recovery, all while allowing you stay active and continue to do the things that you enjoy! One last quick note before we get into the tape, make sure to read all the way through as Zac has a special offer for you below! Now, without further ado, a little more about Kinesio Tape…
The Kinesio Taping Method has taken the Rehabilition and Sports Medicine world by storm. Developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase over 30 years ago, Kinesio Taping has become the gold standard for therapeutic rehabilitative taping. Their proprietary method of taping uses a uniquely designed and patented tape for treatment of muscular disorders and lympedema reduction.
Since the introduction of Kinesio Taping in the US, medical practitioners from PTs, ATCs, OTs, DCs, MTs to MDs have recognized and embraced this effective, safe, and easy-to-use modality. The method and tape allow the individual to receive the therapeutic benefits 24 hours a day because it can be worn for 3-5 days per application. With over 5,000 Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioners in the US alone, Kinesio Taping is used in hospitals, clinics, universities, high schools, and by professional sports teams.

Kinesio taping alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. The taped portion forms convolutions in the skin, thus increasing interstital space. The result is that pressure and irritation are taken off the neural and sensory receptors, alleviating pain. Pressure is gradually taken off the lymphatic system, allowing it to drain more freely.
Kinesin taping can be used for virtually everything. These are just a few examples of clincial applications being used today.
